Kate Moss is the new face of Alexander McQueen. The images and campaign film were shot in East London by long-time McQueen collaborator Steven Klein. Moss was a good friend of the brand’s late eponymous founder and appeared as a ghostly hologram at the end of the designer’s a/w 2006 show.
In 1990, two years after being famously scouted by Sarah Doukas for her then new model agency Storm, Kate Moss signed an exclusive contract with Calvin Klein for apparel and fragrance. The move changed the face of modelling forever with Moss’ petite proportions making a marked contrast to the Supers – Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford et al – who dominated the ad billboards of the time.
